Account and Data Deletion

This is the process for permanently deleting your mailbox and the data associated with it. Deletion is irreversible.
How to request
Send an email to info@felixmail.email from the mailbox you want deleted, with “Account deletion request” in the subject line. Sending the request from the mailbox itself serves as identity verification. If the mailbox belongs to an organisation and you are not the account owner, the request must be confirmed by the account owner; this is why an employee cannot delete a company mailbox on their own.
What is deleted
The mailbox and all emails in it; contacts, calendar events, tasks, signatures, filters and auto-reply settings; AI credit balance and usage history; devices registered for notifications. If the account owner requests deletion of the entire account, the domain record, other mailboxes belonging to the organisation and user accounts are deleted as well.
What is not deleted
Billing and accounting records are retained for the statutory periods required by tax legislation. These records do not include your email content; they contain only mandatory fields such as transaction amount, date and invoice details.
How long it takes
Your request is completed within 30 days at the latest, and in practice usually within a few business days. You receive a confirmation email once deletion is complete.
Automatic deletion (if you make no request)
If your service is suspended for non-payment, your emails are NOT deleted immediately; they continue to be stored in your mailbox. 180 days after the suspension date you receive a final warning, and 30 days after that warning (approximately 7 months in total) the mailbox and all emails within it are permanently deleted. This waiting period exists to protect you; an explicit deletion request is carried out without waiting for it.
Before you delete
Once deleted, your data cannot be recovered. You may request a copy of your archive before the deletion date by writing to the same address.
